Holland through, Sweden out.

Euro 2004 and Holland go through on 5:4 on penalties [Sweden having missed 2 - hahaha].

Tobias or not, I'm made up Sweden are out. In my opinion, they helped to detract from this tournament. The crafting of a 2:2 draw with Denmark in order to get rid of Italy was a complete disgrace.

Bye!

'MetatArsenal' and the perfect Christmas pressie for all concerned.

Will Rooney be ready for the Arsenal game? After reading figures of 6 and [most likely] 8 weeks, I fear not. Even if he does make it, there will probably be concerns about his fitness.

Ipso facto, we'll have him until January, as, even in these mad times, nobody's going to spend ~ £50 million [I'm ignoring the £22m Man U story] for a player that's out injured. This would help the club too, as most #18 shirt sales will have been sealed by Crimbo. Cynical I know, but I guess it's part of being a blue.

Sun stroke.

According to the Sun, Man Utd are about to offer a mere £22 million for Rooney. Bearing in mind Moyes' comments I'm wondering just what they are trying to pull with such a ridiculous offer. My main fear is that we end up being lumped with Forlan and other has-beens. Look at what Yorke and Cole did for Blackburn...

La France est morte

With France out of Euro 04, I'm struggling for a side to 'support.' It can't be the Czech's due to the Kopite players and [despite the EFC links] I have bad feelings about Denmark and Sweden after their 'performance' in order to get rid of Italy [via their dubious 2:2].

So, I want Holland or Greece to win it.

Hands up who's going to get 'Bent' on the back of their new shirt.

Noticed this sizzler of an article today - do us a favour lad. Not bitter are we Charlie? HL is a good player but [a] he's risen to fame in [mere] Scotland and [b] he's nowhere near Rooney's all-round proficiency.

Moving on to the foot. I understand that Everton have not had a look at it yet. I await the definitve prognosis with interest. I hope the lad's ready for the Arsenal game, assuming that he's still with us. Talking of which, I suspect that the foot injury may postpone any transfer until the January [05?] transfer window. Having given it an incredible amount of thought, I'm still not sure whether it would actually be a cause for even the tiniest hint of celebration to see him go to the likes of Chowski, leaving us behind with only full pockets and empty hearts. I reckon I'll probably be gutted, no matter what any sale sum may be.

Digressing, Urs Meier, the referee from the England Portugal game can be contacted here, the meff.

Have you heard what the England camp have been calling Rooney?
Wazza :-(

Rooney retires undefeated. Gutted ...

Broken foot after he was stood on. Ref awards foul against him!

The broken Metatarsal means 4 weeks out now for the poor kid.

I think that we looked flat and jaded without the talismanic #9 and had we have gone through tonight, it would have been to no avail. It would have been impossible to beat Holland/France? without the boy.

The football's over, so 'Come on Tim.'

Latest news re: transfers.

Marcus Bent in, Rooney out? That'll really make the season ticket holders happy if we pull that one off.

Am waiting for the new kit [complete with Elephants] to be released. If the club aren't quick about it, there'll be a lot of sales missed, as people are now stocking up on T shirts for their summer hols.
