See ya later, van der Meyde..

The Dutch winger is to stay at Inter.

There's a chance that his avowed intention of 'fighting for a place' in the Inter side is utter balls, another Premiership club could easily have stepped in from the shadows.

Linked with more fellas than Jordan and Ulrika put together.

On a wing and a prayer.

Latest news is that we're chasing a 24 year old winger. Inter's Dutch international, Andy van der Meyde to be exact. He has had difficulty impressing at Inter, following his c.£5m million move from Ajax last year.

Maybe it's becoz oim a Laahndahner.

Looks like Carrick may be close to staying put in Laahndahn. Can't think why, The Smoke is overrated, if you ask me.

Slaphead!

The short term future of our prematurely bald* maverick midfielder, looks to have finally been resolved. Hamburg having closed the book for now.

*These prematurely bald types must be delighted that they weren't around, as adults, when hair was fashionable, in the early 90s and before. In such times, they would have been exposed as genuine slap heads and would have had to suffer long bouts of chicklessness as a result. Their slap heads would have indicated an unattractive genetic problem, rather than a manifestation of the ubiquitous, fashionable, connected-gangsta, hard steg-head** tw@ look, as it is today.

Let's go back to cranial hair!

The distorted flat-football-shaped galaxy of 'Evertonia,' where 20 actually equals 7...

Chang may jib us if we don't represent their brand in a good light, they are thought to be considering the shyte as an alternative.

Wolves have made overtures to us in the form of taking the big man off our hands, but before you get too excited about the possible savings in wages, we have rebutted their approach. Probably one for next year, on a free.

Using New-Labour style spin-doctor logic, '£20m' actually means something like '£7m.'

We're still looking to bring new faces in, with Red Star Belgrade defender, Milan Dudic [the name sounds like a hideous mix of the shyte's Milan Baros and Dudek] being the latest in a very long line, of those that we have speed-dated this summer. A bid for Ricksen has been rejected by Rangers.

Impending holidays mean that will be a break in posts between tomorrow night and 28th August.

Rooney's cast-off, a cast of thousands [ebay watch]

Latest ebay item of note.

Originally sold to aid charidee, Rooney's cast has been put up for sale, by an arlarse, on ebay.

Problems, problems ...

Why does it always rain on our parade?

Despite there being a protective listing applying to Stanley Park, the shyte got permission to build a new Analfield there. However, in line with Everton's usual fortune, it looks like we're going to be subject to a housing ban for the Bellefield site. This would scupper the new training ground move. From Heysel [oops, hasn't that word been banned in the media?], to our [rejected] application to build on Stanley Park in the 80s, through to the King's Dock and now this, we are the archetypal sucker that never seems to get an even break!

If it happens again, I'm leaving

The Mirror, the Echo's sister paper, has launched into a 'Moyes to walk' theme also. I am beginning to believe.

Intellectual property, infringement, legal rights and all that annoying jazz

The Premier League have issued a legal threat. Lovely. The internet will become a sterile, samey, walled-garden, in our lifetimes. This is simply another example of how the days of freedom and individuality are shortening.

Moyes story and some news.

Not content with the Rooney situation [i.e. he's not likely to join one of their cronies this season], The Sun has turned to Moyes. Don't believe a word of it. He has said that the £20m rescue package may have come too late, however he is thought to be back in for Savage.

Carrick wants to join Everton. Must like a challenge.

Stubbs is injured.

Reviews

"I won't be forced into panic buys" Moyes.

Moyes, criticised our defending after the slamming by the wonderful Arsenal.

"We were poor defensively," said Moyes after watching us contribute to at least three of Arsenal's goals.

"I just hope it doesn't get any harder but I'm sure it will - my players just have to continue to give their best.

Sunday, time for more unusual news: 'When Skies are Grey' hit by cybersquatter?

Possible Cybersquatting by an Israeli Kopite?

Hopefully, the people at WSAG will not be arsed, but I've just spotted that 'Balata' an Israeli outfit have registered 'WhenSkiesAreGrey.co.uk' It could be argued that it's a generic term and it's all coincidental, but in my opinion, the timing of the registration, to coincide with the heightened interest and web traffic that kicks in with the start of our season, is extremely suss.

My research, this afternoon, indicates that this '.co.uk' variant will take some 12% [or 1 in 8] of the search engine traffic re: the '.com' site.
