If only the results were "right" and matches fair ... Everton 3rd [after Manchester United and Arsenal, ahead of Chelsea & Liverpool 8th].

"What a yawn, another weekend in the English Premiership and further examples of officials incompetence / corrupted views influencing the outcomes of matches."

This is a nod in the direction of RightResult.net

Everton would be 3rd [after Manchester United and Arsenal, ahead of Chelsea nd Liverpool 8th] if the results were fair and the officials were not corrupted and incompetent ... so says this unbiased website called RightResult.net

Matches such as the infamous Everton v Liverpool derby of last October unsurprisingly feature. Liverpool won after a series of utterly flabbergasting decisions demonstrated that the officials flatly refused to give Everton a fair chance that day and instead insisted that Liverpool be allowed to win and be awarded the three points.

Everton vs Liverpool

Panel Decision

As usual the Merseyside derby was packed with drama and controversy and, on this occasion, all the major decisions appeared to go against the blue half of the city.

New England defender Joleon Lescott will feel particularly hard done by.

With the game evenly poised in the second–half, ref Mark Clattenburg turned down his penalty appeal when he tangled in the area with Steve Finnan.

If that decision remained dubious, there was little or no doubt about the incident in the last seconds of the game when Lescott was wrestled to the ground by a guilty-looking Jamie Carragher in front of the Gwladys Street goal.

Unfortunately for Everton, just about the only doubt that remained was in the mind of the Tyne & Wear whistler and the seemingly certain penalty wasn’t given.

To make matters worse, moments earlier, Liverpool’s match-winning spot-kick was converted by Dirk Kuyt. How he remained on the pitch after an earlier airborne tackle on Phil Neville remains a mystery.

The Right Result is a 2-2 draw."

About the site:

The Right Result concept was devised by people who’d had enough of seeing bad decisions affect the outcome of football matches week in week out. Like many other fans we don’t buy into the old “luck evens itself out over the course of a season” line that gets offered up so often as if it makes everything ok, because luck doesn’t do this and it isn’t ok! We wanted to see just how different the league table would look if refs called it right more often.

Each week on this website, the Right Result panel, selects the key injustices that happen each week during the Premiership season, applies the strict rules of the game to them and passes an impartial judgement on whether or not questionable decisions should stand. The panel is a neutral and independent body, comprised of members from the Association of Football Statisticians (www.11v11.com).

Typical examples of incidents include penalties that don’t get given when they should have been. Or those that do get allowed in dubious circumstances. Whether balls did or didn’t cross the goal line. Goals disallowed for questionable offside. These incidents happen so frequently that there’s virtually never a weekend passes without at least one controversial call that not only affects the scoreline of a game, but actually changes the outcome.
