Half time Everton 0 0 Stoke

Tactically inept would describe both sides in this dour stalemate. Arteta has been bright but hesitant and wasteful with his final balls, he's not been helped by the clueless and immobile teammates around him. Stoke have appeared the physically fitter and stronger side but thankfully, they too, haven't got the foggiest what they're supposed to be out there to do. I've not stood up at all during this game so far, there has been the odd piece of goalmouth action for both sides (ie a tame Yak shot straight at the keeper), but nothing compelling. Saha and Rodwell have been warming up for around 15 mins... Good!
